John is an adventurous person/marathon runner. When I first saw him in his hotel, I greeted him with a handshake and I couldn’t help but notice there was a cut near his mouth. I asked what happened and he told me he went camping the week before the wedding and wanted to collect some sticks to light a fire. Little did he know that sticks can still defend themselves from being attacked. One of them flicked straight to his face as he was trying to break them. Of all places it had to be his face the week prior to his wedding! Anyway as the saying goes, chics dig scars and I reckon it made him more manly – if that was even possible! The first look was amazing – a true moment of real emotions right there! Couldn’t get any better than that! The forecast did say there will be rain in the afternoon and it did but we were indoors by the time it started – Thank God! I asked Su Yi about her little spill and here is what she said: “We were part of the same dragon boat club, we did not really chat much at the time – I kind of knew John as the guy who runs and Sher Mayne, my bridesmaid does occasionally join him for a run as she is an active runner. I actually mistook John’s brother James as him the first time I met James. We connected on a weekend Boathouse Trip one long weekend– John was our out of town addition as he was already living in Melbourne at the time.”
